Ever wonder what it is like to be a police officer? Do you want to see what it takes to run a police department? If the answer is yes, than this class is for you! The Evesham Police Department is accepting applications for the Spring 2018 session of the Citizens Police Academy. Session #11 will start on Tuesday, September 25th and will run until November 13th, 2018. Classes will be held at the Evesham Township Municipal Complex each Tuesday night from 6:30pm to 9:00pm for eight weeks.
This is a great opportunity to get to know the members of the police department and experience a behind the scenes look at a nationally accredited law enforcement agency. Some of the topics covered will be traffic/DWI enforcement, criminal investigation, canine deployment, and use of force. We will also be taking a trip to the 911 call center for a tour and utilization of the Firearms Training Simulator.
Applications can be picked up at the municipal complex or downloaded from the police department website, www.eveshampd.org.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age and either be a resident of Evesham Township or a business owner in Evesham Township.
Completed applications and any questions regarding this program can be directed to Officer Trampe at firstname.lastname@example.org or Officer Libett at email@example.com
