The New Jersey Department of Transportation has announced $161 million in local road and bridge safety improvement projects. 532 municipalities across the state submitted grant applications, and of those, 505 were approved for state aid. Here in Evesham Township, the state approved one project, $250,000 for a Brick Road improvement project. The details of the improvements were not released. According to the DOT, each county is apportioned a share of the total funding based on population and the number of local centerline miles.
